Charles Brownlow Ltd would like to thank all our guests for 2011, it has been a great year with at least 7 first salmon being caught by Charles Brownlow Ltd guests with Garynahine accounting for most of them. The stalking has been great with some testing weather conditions in October with rain, snow, sleet and mist being thrown at the parties on the hill all in one hour!
News from the lodges and estates:
Strathvacih Estate – Strathvaich has proved its self as a great stalking estate this year and with the work being carried out on the lodge in the New Year it will only heighten the experience of our guests. August and September stalking available in 2012
Garynahine – Charles Brownlow Ltd guests have had a cracking year here and if you are looking for a lodge to introduce children or friends to salmon fishing this is the place to do it with a great chance of catching a salmon or sea trout.
Shiel Lodge – Another great stalking year for Charles Brownlow guests with some testing conditions, it should be remembered the estate has a great spate river which can produce excellent sport.
Chesthill and Inverinain – Record year for the salmon with 101 on the bank with excellent bags from May onwards, I love this estate and particularly Inverinain and its four rods, I fully intend on getting a week up there in 2012.
River Teviot – Having fished several beats on this glorious river this year I was rather sad it ended with high muddy water. The river is for the most part under fished and can produce some cracking fishing. Well worth a quick trip up from London – I can pick you up from the station or airport – cottage for 6 people.
With many more weeks taken at further Lodges and Estates in Scotland there has been a lot going on, with still further happening during the Shooting season.
