It is with great pleasure I welcome you to this first update for the new look Charles Brownlow Ltd.

Over the last 5 years we have had the pleasure of helping hundreds of guests find their perfect sporting estate or estates for fishing, shooting and stalking. We hope you will all continue to return in the future as we constantly strive to make each trip as good, if not better than the last.

I am very much looking forward to taking Charles Brownlow Ltd forward steering it towards a more imaginative agency. We will continue to help our guest's book sporting lodges for stalking, fishing and shooting but we are looking at more innovative trips and packages to offer our guests.

We are very excited about the launch of our new product www.gametrainscotland.com launched with the help of Peter Johnsons family of Game train fame in South Africa. We ran a successful Royal Scotsman trip in 2010 and we look to replicate this with trips in 2014/15.

Borders Bag and Salmon

A fantastic couple of days with The Scottish Country Sports Tourism Group and Tweed Media who bought 6 international journalists to the Borders to sample some of the sport, food and drink we have to offer.
We kicked off with a Borders Bag Day followed by a day’s fishing on the Ettrick. Billy Hamilton of the Buccleuch Arms cooked the borders bag for our guests final dinner offering Hare, pheasant, snipe, teal, mallard, partridge, grouse and pigeon. History does not say how this feast went down as most of them were airborne early or have booked fishing today having become fanatics over night!

Our guests were kept going at all times by the Scottish Borders Brewery Foxy blond which was exceptionally well received!

We have some fantastic partners in the borders enabling us to offer our guests trips totally unique to this area. We welcome every ability and can provide you with every support you need.

River Dee

1 week gone and two new week’s available River Dee.

These weeks were all taken by the same person who sadly due to work commitments has had to pull out his fishing weeks for 2013.

10/10 for all round fishing holiday (As you may know I could get excited about a puddle but this place is superb)

River Dee, Banchory
Cottage sleeps 4
2 rods
Sunday to Sunday lets
June 17 – 23, June 24 – 30, 11th – 18th August, 18th – 25th August 2013
Total - £1700.00 per week

One of my favourite beats of all time to fish, my parents have been going here for the last 34 years and keep going back. There are 11 named pools a fishing hut with wood burning stove overlooking one of the best pools on the river Dee. It is one of the prettiest beats on the Dee in my view.

The beat offers privacy and seclusion with one of the best located fishing huts I have seen, perfect for BBQs in the evening and long lunches, fishing after Supper is a must I have caught several fish here as the light is going. The June weeks could be great for the Sea trout.
